Heritage travel is exactly what it sounds like, travel based on your unique heritage! These trips explore intimate details of your ancestors’ lives, as you trod directly in their footsteps on your ancestral land. These trips are hyper-local, hyper-custom, and full of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. By the end of your heritage trip, you will have a newfound sense of belonging in this world, and a new place to call home.

Your journey to the past begins with a complimentary call where I discover your travel style, family details, and your vacation must-haves (and have-nots!). I’ll then have you fill out a form with more of your family details, including names and birthdays, places they’ve lived, and more. After you complete the form, I will begin my research. I start my research process with a complimentary hour of research where I determine if there is enough information regarding your ancestors to plan a trip to your desired country. 

If there’s enough information (and we’re all on board),  I will begin a period of in depth genealogical, using a wide array of genealogical and historical databases and indexes. This research typically results in finding specific birthplaces, baptism sites, wedding records, census reports (revealing addresses and occupations), criminal records, and immigration documents! Once all this information is uncovered, I will write a two-page family history summary featuring all your ancestral “greatest hits” and historical context in an easy to comprehend chronological story. 

Based on this information and the information I have from you on what you’re looking for in a vacation, I will begin to build an itinerary based on the synthesis of your wishes and your genealogy, and the best your ancestral homeland has to offer. Once the itinerary is built, you will receive a trip proposal, including travel logistics, residence recommendations, daily activities, genealogy information, your family tree, and more. 

As part of the package, you will receive PDF copies of all documents found during the research process, and the option to receive a beautifully designed family tree.
