lgbtq+ Travel

com·mu·ni·ty. | kəˈmyo͞onədē | noun. a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society.

Travelers face a myriad of obstacles when traveling, before we add in things like identity, finances, and culture. Like many other marginalized communities, LGBTQ+ folks face a unique set of challenges while traveling. A lesbian couple may worry about prejudiced and discriminatory comments from hotel staff if they request a room with only one bed. Trans people may worry about flying and the TSA scanners identifying “items on their bodies not congruent with their identified sex.” Nonbinary travelers (like me!) may struggle in situations such as an “all gay male tour” or hostels with gendered dormitories. No one queer person is the same, and thus all of our struggles are intimately unique.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it is my goal to support my clients who are within the community and wish to have travel experiences that are safe, affirming, and, above all, really f*cking fun! There are queer folks and queer spaces all over the world, and travel can be such a wonderful tool to connect us all. In my travels I've discovered pride events, adorable lesbian-owned B&Bs, queer owned arts spaces, stores, bars, and more!

As your travel advisor (and friend), I will advise you on country-specific sexual orientation laws and gender identity laws, making sure your travels are safe and supportive. Your safety (both physically and emotionally) is always my top priority.

You can check out some sample itineraries from past trips below. Now let’s get traveling!
